Sasha Lazarevic
IBM Switzerland - Technology evangelist
Sasha Lazarevic is Solution Manager and Technology Evangelist at IBM Switzerland with extensive experience in technology solutions ranging from traditional to AI. He is responsible for the solution design of complex projects that include cloud, containers, data analytics and AI. In addition to this, Sasha is involved in several internal innovation programs, acts as speaker in international AI conferences, and teaches AI as the lecturer at the Swiss banking school ISFB. He holds masters degree in both engineering and business. Sasha Lazarevic will talk about IBM AI technologies within IBM Watson product offering (Watson Assistant, Discovery, Studio).

Valentina Djordjevic
Thingsolver - Data Scientist
Valentina Đorđević works as a Data Scientist at Things Solver. She has a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Technologies and a Master's degree in Business intelligence, at University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences. The main fields of studies she focuses on the most are time series analysis and anomaly detection techniques. She has strong technical knowledge in the field of Data Science, including programming (Java, Python, SQL, ETL), statistics (descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, probability theory,...), modeling (machine learning algorithms - neural networks, random forest, linear regression, k-means, isolation forest, association rules, recommender systems, ARIMA models...) and visualization (Matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau,...). Data science problems that she's been working on are coming from various business domains, from telecommunications to retail and banking, where she's dealing with forecasting, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, segmentation, churn prevention, etc.

Oskar Marko
BioSense Institute - Machine learning engineer
Mr. Oskar Marko is a researcher at BioSense Institute highly interested in data analytics and image processing in agriculture. He is currently finishing PhD studies of electrical engineering at University of Novi Sad, Serbia, where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the same area. He spent the 3rd year of his undergraduate studies at City University London, where he did his final BEng project in signal processing. He was the leader of BioSense's team, which proposed a novel technical solution for yield prediction and seed variety selection that got them the 1st prize at Syngenta Crop Challenge 2017. The topic of the talk given by Oskar Marko will be the role of artificial intelligence in modern agriculture.

Yolanda Lanquist
AI Researcher
Yolanda is an AI policy researcher at The AI-Initiative at The Future Society, an emerging technology policy think-tank that was incubated at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in the United States. She focuses on the impact of AI on the economy and society and has authored several reports on AI policy & ethics. She has a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree in economics from Columbia University.

Jovan Stojanovic
Ambassador of Novi Sad – AI CITY.AI
Jovan is entrepreneur with several years of experience in IT industry. He is ambassador of CITY ai for Serbia, where CITY AI is largest AI community all over the world with presence in more then 50 cities around the world. Our goal is to democratize knowledge in field of applied AI, to share lessons learnt from local stories and to pass it to international scale.

Caroline Jeanmaire
Future Society
Caroline is an AI policy researcher at The AI Initiative of The Future Society, a think-tank incubated at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. The Future Society is a recognized thought-leader in AI governance and policy, and conducts research for the OECD, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, national governments and private companies. There, Caroline is organizing the annual Global Governance of AI Roundtable at the World Government Summit in Dubai, which gathers high-level AI leaders from around the world to collaborate towards governance of AI for beneficial innovation while mitigating ethical and safety risks.

Cédric Bornand
itech prevent, Switzerland
A system using artificial intelligence is presented, which measures in real time the way in which safety rules are respected in a dangerous industrial area. The system uses a feature extractor to identify the shape, color and texture characteristics of a supplied image. It uses a linear classifier to process the extracted features to identify the actors represented in the image and examine their properties. The system then compares the identified properties with the properties that form the rules. In case of discrepancy, the system records the event in a database. This will also activate any warning actions.
